The daughter of Raymond D. and Edna Grace Cook St. Clair, she was born July 12, 1922, in Indiana. Mrs. Johnston was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana. She also was a member of the following organizations: AARP Evergreen Chapter, AARP Line Dancers and BPOE 931 Auxiliary, all of Indiana: Pine-ees Campers; and the National Hikers and Campers Association. A homemaker, she had ben employed by Brody’s, Grillo Jewerly and Luxenberg’s Jewelry prior to her retirement. Surviving are her husband, Herbert Johnston; three sons: Richard Glenn Widdowson, Mission Viejo, Calif.; Roger Clair Widdowson, Indiana; and Gerald Raymond Widdowson, Fairfax, Va: one daughter Mrs. Mark (Cynthia Sue) Johnson, Valencia, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (Bonnie Mae) Mock, Plumville; Thre grandchildren and two step granchildren; one sister, Mrs. William (Helen) Lerner, Rialto, Calif.; and one brother, Raymond D. St. Clair Jr., Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clair Leroy Widdowson, in 1981; and two brothers, William and Kenneth H. Friends were received Tuesday in the Bence-Mihalcik Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today with the Reverends Allen Campbell and Oden Warman officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Indiana County, 119 Professional Center, Wayne Avenue, Indiana, Pa. 15701. [Indiana Gazette]
