Kelly Johnston of Indiana, formerly of Starford and Commodore, died Monday, Dec. 1. 1997. A daughter of Frank and Cather- ine Kelly, she was born in Lovejoy. Mrs. Johnston was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church, Indiana. She graduated from Green Town- ship High School in 1926 and from Indiana State Teachers College (now IUP) in 1929. She was employed as a teacher for a short time at Purchase Line High School. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Ray- mond G., whom she married Dec. 19, 1936; three daughters: Barbara De- mand and her husband, Daniel, Springfield, Va.; Jacquelyn Kines and her husband, James, Anniston, AIa.; Helen McGurk and her hus- band, Dennis, Mechanicsville, Md.; two sons, Michael, Youngstown, Ohio; and Raymond Jr. and his wife, Michelle, Bethesda, Md.; 13 grand- children; and seven great-grand- children. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters: Mary McKev- er, Anna Mae Kelly, Helen Stevens, Catherine Ivory, Theresa Muller; four brothers: Francis, Joseph, John, and Edward Kelly. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indi- ana, where a Parish Vigil Service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Indiana. Interment will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
