"Betty" Jones, 80, of Indiana, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, at the Clarion Hospital in Clarion. The daughter of Samuel D. and Eva M. Grape Brown, she was born Sept. 13, 1917, in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Indiana. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemak- er who also had worked at The Molly Ann and The Indiana Gazette. Mrs. Jones had taught American Dresden painting/pottery. Surviving are her husband, Charles E. Jones, Indiana; two daughters, Carolyn Peterson and her husband, Jon, Washington; Jac- quelyn Watkins and her husband, David, Indiana; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Samuel Brown, Seattle, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Bence- Mihalcik Funeral Home, Indiana, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Dr. Ferd B. Park officiating. Interment will be in River View Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.
