Of Penn Run, Pa., passed away Wednesday, July 27, 1960, at 6:15 am at his late
residence. Born March 25, 1898, in Cherryhill township, Indiana County, Pa., he was
a son of the late James Alexander and Mary Myrtle Learn Kephart, and had resided
over 30 years in the vicinity of Penn Run. His wife Goldie Bowers Kephart, passed
away in 1944, and surviving him are: one son, David Elmer, Jr., Homer City, and one
daughter, Mrs. Amos (Grace) Mellott, Penn Run; three brothers, James Alvie, Homer
City; William, Medina, New York; Blair, Black Lick; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Hill,
Penn Run; Mrs. Blanche Shankle, Waterman; Mrs. Ida Clark, Black Lick; and three
grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday, at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where
services will be conducted Saturday, July 20. The Rev. William B. Keifer will
officiate and interment will follow in Brush Valley Lutheran Cemetery.
