George Kanarr: OBIT - 1919 George Kanarr George Kanarr, aged 80 years, at one time a resident of Grant township, died at Traverse, Mich., May 1st. The deceased was veteran of the Civil War, having served in the 206th regiment, Pennsylvania volunteers, with his two brothers. He had been a resident of Michigan for a number of years. Besides a son, Edward, and a daughter, Annie, he is survived by one sister, Elizabeth, of Ohio, and there brothers, Jacob Kanarr, of town; Aaron Kanarr, of Cherry Tree, and John Kanarr, of Michigan. He served one year during the Civil War as a member of Company G, 206th P.V.I.
