Kanarr, aged 55 years, died suddenly at his home in Montgomery township on Sunday, July 12, as the result of a stroke of paralysis. He was stricken shortly after returning from Sunday school. He was a son of Aaron Kanarr, of this place, and was born in Grant township on March 12, 1870. He was a well known lumberman in Montgomery township and Clearfield county for a number of years, but about nine years ago bought the farm on which he resided at the time of his death. He leaves a widow and the following children: Ellsworth H., of Pittsburgh; Lela May Biss, of Youngstown, Ohio; Chas. H., of Fleming Summit; Frances A., of Indiana; Aaron, Jr., William R., Jr., Ralph B., Morna Jane and Paul E., at home. His aged father, Aaron Kanarr, of town; two brothers, Rev. John E. Kanarr, who resides in the state of Idaho, and J. H. Kanarr, of Honolulu, Hawaii, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Stephens, of Philadelphia, are living. Funeral services were held at the Hazelett church on Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Hughes and burial was made at the Thompson cemetery, Hillsdale.
