He was born Feb. 27, 1912, in Conemaugh Township, Indiana County, son of the late David and Lorrie P. McMaster Kellerman. He was a member of Hillside nited Methodist Church;Acacia Lodge 355 F&AM, Blairsville; Coudersport Consistory; Kedron Commandery of Greensburg 18, Knights Templar; AARP Chapter, Indiana; Tall Cedars of Lebanon Westmoreland Forest; Lamas Club of Latrobe; Indiana County Shrine Club; Jaffa Temple, Altoona; Derry Rod and Gun Club; BPOE Lodge 406, Blairsville; Eastern Derry Township Volunteer Fire Department and Relief Association, Millwood; Blairsville Grange 2012; Cooperstown Veteran's and Sportsman's Association, Latrobe; Brotherhood of Maintenence of Ways Employees; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1488, Blairsville; Thomas R. Anderson Royal Arch Chapter 309, and Palladium Lodge 346, IOOF. He was employed as a crane operator for 34 years with the Penn Railroad, retiring in 1963. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Kellerman and Clair Menser. Surviving are his wife, Sarah E. Short Kellerman; three sons, Joseph L. Jr. of Blairsville RD 5, David S. of New Alexandria and James R. of Blairsville RD 3; four daughters; Mrs. Ted (June) Ehman of Blairsville RD 3, Mrs, Oscar (Sarah) Curtis of Monroeville, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Patz and Mrs. Walter (Joan) Patz, both of Blairsville RD 3; two brothers, George Kellerman of Derry RD1 and John Kellerman of Blairsville RD 4; five sisters, Mrs Glyndora Nolder of Blawnox, Mrs. Betty Bertsch of Orlando, Florida, Mrs. Pearl Karasack of Latrobe, Mrs. Evelyn Amond of Derry and Mrs. Jean Karasack of Latrobe; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Sunday in Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsvill, where the service will be held at 11 AM, Monday with the Rev. Chris Livermore officiating.
