Porter King dies in jail

Porter King, who attempted suicide by shooting himself in the 
breast with a revolver at Dixonville, about 3 weeks ago, died in the 
hospital of the jail about 2 o'clock, aged 65 years.  King had been 
melancholy from brooding over his wife's death, and is believed to have 
been insane when he committed the deed.
