Arthur Clair Lentz, 90, Clarksburg RD 1, died Sunday, July 13, 1997, at the
Indiana Hospital. The son of Fred and Cora Kuhns Lentz, he was born Nov. 17,
1906, in Baggaley. Mr. Lentz lived in Clarksburg for most of his life. He worked
for R&P Coal Co. and was disabled in a mining accident in 1951. He was a member
of the UMWA Surviving are his wife, Florence B. Doumont Lentz, Clarksburg; a
son, Jack H. Lentz, Clarksburg; two daughters, Joyce Y. Rizzuto and Jane L.
Dymond, both of Kendall Park, NJ; a brother, Joseph Lentz, Bedford; eight
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his
parents; four brothers: Norman, Edward, Russell and Alvin Lentz; four sisters:
Corrine Mitchell, Hazel Stapleton, Grace Burkhart and Stella Crise. Friends will
be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Curran Funeral Home, Saltsburg,
where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Jones
officiating. Interment will be in the Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg. Memorial
contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the
donor's choice.
