Mrs. Susan Ann (Hoover) Libengood, 69 years old, died at her home in Strangford,
near Blairsville, at 5:50 a. m. Thursday of complications from which she had
suffered for several weeks. Mrs. Libengood was born in Armstrong County
September 3, 1866, and had resided in Strangford for 46 years. Surviving are her
husband, Charles F. Libengood; four sons: Elmer Libengood, Burrell Township;
Arthur Libengood, Homer Libengood, and Earl Libengood, all of Strangford; three
daughters: Mrs. E. A. Stephenson, Cokeville, Westmoreland County; Della
Libengood, a nurse at Indiana Hospital and Edna Libengood, at home; seven
brothers: Harvey Starry and Joan Starry, both of Blairsville; James Starry,
Black Lick; Isaac Starry and Elbert Starry, both of Elmira, N. Y.; Reuben
Starry, Bradenville, Westmoreland County, and Lewis Starry, Philadelphia, and a
sister, Mrs. Maude Stump, residing in Ohio. Funeral services were held in the
Strangford Methodist Episcopal Church at 2:30 p. m. Sunday with interment in the
Blairsville Cemetery.
