Nellie Lowman Nellie Forsha Lowman, 97, of Blairsville died Friday, Nov. 22,
2002, at the Keeper of the Flame Personal Care Home. Blairsville. She was born
Nov. 17, 1905, in Blairsville to Jess and Myrtle Rider Forsha. Mrs. Lowman was a
member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville. Surviving are two sons:
William Lowman, Wilmington. Del.; Thomas Lowman and his wife, Janette,
Kimbelsville; a sister, Gertrude Flickinger, Beverly Fla.; eight grandchildren;
and 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in
death by her husband, William Lowman, in March 1984; a son, Ralph Lowman: four
brothers: Glenn Forsha; Wayne Forsha: Harold Forsha: Donald Forsha; three
sisters: Eloise Fannie, Dorothy Ault, and Hazel Forsha: and her parents. As per
Mrs. Lowman's request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be
held Monday at 11 a.m. in Blairsville Cemetery. The Rev. David W. Salinger will
officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Latrobe Hospice, 121 West
Second Ave., Latrobe, PA 15650.
