Lowman, 80, of Morewood Ave., Blairsville, died Thursday, March 29, 1984, at his home. A son of Edwin and Mary Hammers Lowman, he was born May 18, 1903, in Blairsville. Mr. Lowman was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville. He was a retired brakeman and conductor for the Penn Central Railroad. Surviving are his wife, Nellie Forsha Lowman; three sons:. Ralph G., Blairsville; William D., New Castle, Del.; J. Thomas, Landensburg; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Edwin, Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Albert and Russell, and one sister, Mrs. Marie Richards. Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p m. in the Ferguson-Helm Funeral Home, Blairsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Roger D. Peterson will officiate with interment in the Blairsville Cemetery.
