Indiana Evening Gazette
Samuel Lamer, aged 79 years, a well known resident of Uniontown, near Cherry
Tree, passed away at his home Sunday evening at 5:15 o'clock.
Death was due to gangrene, from which he had been suffering for two months. He
leaves his widow, Mrs. Jane Lamer and these children: Clair at home; Dalvin of
Akron,Ohio ; Blair of Emeigh; Mrs. Mary Fulton of Indiana;  Mrs. Cora Campbell
of Barnesboro and Mrs. Flossie McMillon of Gipsy. Mr. Lamer was a veteran of the
Civil War. The funeral services were conducted at his home on Tuesday afternoon
at 2 o'clock and interment was made at Stiffler cemetery.
