She was the daughter of William Cook, one of the early settlers of Cookport, and having spent her entire life in that community, living 66 years on the farm where she died. Survived by the following children all of whom are living in the area. Alexander, Elias, Mrs. Susan Elwood, Isreal, William P. and Uriah S. with whom she resided. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock, with interment in the Methodist burying ground in Cookport. ADDITION POSTED ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Posted by Kathy Dean on Wed, 17 May 2000 Surname: Learn, Cook, Elwood Mrs. Lucinda Learn Mrs. Lucinda Learn, one of the best known residents of Green Township, died on Friday with infirmities accompanying old age. She was the widow of the late Peter Learn and was a lifelong resident of the county. The deceased was a daughter of William Cook, one of the pioneer residents of Cookport, and was born on August 27, 1827. Her husband died May 17, 1907, and she had, since, resided with her son, Uriah S. Learn. The deceased resided on the farm on which she died for 66 years. She is survived by the following children, all of whom live in Green Twp: Mrs. Susan Elwood, Isreal Learn, William P., Alexander and Uriah Learn, with whom she resided. Funeral services were held Sunday morning and interment was made in the Methodist burying ground at Cookport.
