Lemmon, 87, Marion Center RD 1 (Deckers Point), died Tuesday Dec. 16, 1997, at St. An- drew's Vtillage in Indiana. The son of Samuel and Alice Paul Lemmon, he was born in Green Township, Indiana County, on Feb. 22, 1910. Mr. Lemmon married S. Elizabeth Fisher on April 17, 1929, and was a father to nine children. He worked as a coal miner for 20 years and also as a self-employed carpenter. He was last employed by Greensteel Inc., Dixonville. He belonged to the New Life Lutheran Church, Marion Center RD 1, and belonged to the Schryock Grange of Bowdertown and the Unit- ed Commercial Travelers. He is survived by his wife and these children: Charles S. Lemmon, Castro Valley, Calif.; R. Blaine Lemmon, Clymer RD 1; Donald L. Lemmon, North Canton, Ohio; R. Louise Dunmire, Indiana RD 2; J. Arthur Lemmon, Medinah, Ill.; Jo- seph P. Lemmon, Marion Center RD 1; Betty Lou Lightcap, Long Island, N.Y.; Bruce E. Lemmon, Carlisle. He is also survived by his two sisters, Mary Shuatleff, Mt. Morris, N.Y., and Hope Howells, Dixonville; 22 grandchildren and 26 great grand- children. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald B. Lemmon; his par- ents; a grandson, Terry Lemmon; a great grandson; three brothers, Paul, Robert and Maynard Lemmon and a sister, Velma Howe. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 Friday at the Albert E. Rairigh Funeral Home, Hillsdale, where the Schryock Grange of Bowdertown will conduct a service Friday at 2:30 p.m. A funeral service with Pastor Sandra Kennedy officiating will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Marion Center Cemetery.
