11-17-1977 Indiana Evening Gazette
     Florence Lewis, 75, of 1720 Water Street, Indiana, died Tuesday, November 
15, 1977, in the Indiana Hospital.
     A daughter of Aaron Work & Sara Belle Hopkins Jeffries, she was born 
February 24, 1902 in Rochester Mills.
     Mrs. Lewis attended the First Assembly of God Church in Indiana.
     She had lived her early life in Rochester Mills and since that in Indiana.
     Surviving are five sons: Arthur of Creekside RD1; Richard & Dale of 
Indiana; Dean of Farrell & Earl of Continental Divide, NM.  There are also five 
daughters: Mrs. Robert Craig of Creekside RD1; Mrs. Melvin Isenberg of Indiana; 
Mrs. Edward Shedlock of Clymer; Mrs. Jess Smith of Commodore RD1 and Mrs. 
Arnold Blystone of Creekside RD1; 38 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; 
one brother: Earl Jeffries of Rochester Mills and three sisters: Mrs. Wava 
Blose of Punxsutawney; Mrs. Nora Brown of Austin and Mrs. Kathryn Travis of 
Sharon.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Blair H. Lewis, in 1961; a 
brother, Ney and a sister, Elda.
     Services at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana with the Rev. Reed Blystone, 
officiant.  Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, Rochester Mills.
