Loucks Jr., 76, of Blairsville, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at the Latrobe Area Hospital. The son of William V. and Elsie M. Wolford Loucks Sr., he was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Tarentum. Mr. Loucks was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairs- ville. He was also a member of the Transportation Communications In- ternational Union. He was a former yard master for the Pennsylvania Railroad at the Blairsville office and retired from Conrail in 1981. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. His hobbies were railroading, fish- ing and hunting. Surviving are his wife, Frances Gale Barnhart Loucks; four sons: William H. Loucks and his wife, Connie, Lexington Park, Md.; Law- rence R. Loucks and his wife, Don- na, Prince Rupert, British Columbia; John K. "Jack" Loucks and his wife, Susan, Blairsville; James D. Loucks and his wife, Jerri, Blairsville; nine grandchildren: Kristie, Michelle, William, Adam, Molly, Mark, Lincoln, Nikki, and Joleen; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert E. Loucks, Sewick- ley; and an aunt, Lucille Hilliard,: Lehigh Acres, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. today and from 12-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.at the Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairs- ville, where services will be held on at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Dr. Darrell D. Knopp officiating. Mili- tary services will be accorded by the Blairsville VFW Post 5821. Inter- ment will be in the Blairsville Ceme- tery.
