Born February 18, 1883, Indiana County, a son of Jacob and Kathryn McCracken Lowman, he had lived in this area all his life, and had worked on the Highway for 17 years. He was a member of the American Union Church. Mr. Lowman is survived by his wife, Edith Isenberg Lowman and these children: Ellsworth Lowman, Buffalo, N.Y.; Savannah Geisel, Selocta R.D. 3; Clair T. Lowman, Manchester, N.H.; Dallas S. Lowman, Fairfield, Connecticut; Blair, Donald and Horace, Stanford, Conn.; Rosalie Snyder, Green Lane, Pa; George Lowman, Clymer; Betty Hetrick and Ada Jacoby, both of Indiana and William, at home. One son, Ralph, is deceased. These brothers and sisters survive: Burton Lowman, Blair Lowman, Doll Lowman, Alice Lowman, all of Indiana; and Bud Lowman of Erie. A brother Guy is deceased. He is also survived by 67 grandchildren and 69 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Richard T. Bell Funeral Home, South Seventh Street, from 7-9 p.m. today and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be conducted Saturday, September 16, at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Edward Blink. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Additional Comments: Clair's mother's name was actually Samantha Keturah McCracken Lowman.
