  Christopher Lute

 Christopher Hoover Lute, 81, of
Penn Run RD 1, formerly of Strongs-
town, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at
the Indiana Hospital.
 The son of Jeremiah Herman and
Eva Ervine Lute, he was born May
25, 1916, in Colver.
 He was employed most his life as a
woodsman in the timber industry.
 He was married to the former
Oley Florence Lute.
 Surviving are his daughter, Mrs.
Clarence (Nancy) Newlin, Penn Run
RD 1; six grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren. He was the last
surviving member of his immediate
family.
 He was preceded In death by his
wife, who died in 1995; his son,
Christopher M. Lute; his parents;
two brothers, Robert and Roy; and
two sisters, Rosaline and Gertrude.
 Friends will be received from 2-4
and 7-8 p.m., the time of services,
Monday at the Albert E. Rairigh
Funeral Home, Hillsdale. The Rev.
Philip L. Mack will officiate. Inter-
ment will be in the Manor Cemetery,
Penn Run RD 1.
