We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ford Lydick Ford "Scissors" Lydick , 79, of 1032 Wilmore Road, Ebensburg, died, Monday March 30, 1998 at Lee Hospital (Johnstown, PA). He was born Dec. 5, 1918 in Indiana, a son of the late David and Nora Henry Lydick. Also preceding him in death were his stepfather, Ottis Orr; a son William, and a brother, Elvie Lydick. He is survived by his widow, the former Eva Merchel; a son, David, married to the former Wanda Ferguson, Patton; a daughter-in-law, Judy Lydick, Kentucky; two grandsons and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Myrtle Grace Henson, Fairview. Mr. Lydick was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. He retired from Ebensburg Rural Electric Co., where he had been employed for 40 years. Mr. Lydick also was employed by Laurel Bank as a courier in Ebensburg. He was a member of VFW Post 4963 and American Legion Post 363, both of Ebensburg. Friends were received at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday morning at Holy Name Church by the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus. Entombment was at Holy Name Mausoleum. It has been suggested donations be made to the family.
