BETTY JEAN FORSHA McCRACKEN, beloved wife or Walter McCracken for 47 years, and
devoted mother of Judy Davis of Kingwood, Texas, and Debbie LePire of Wheaton,
Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 1993, after a long and courageous
battle with cancer. Betty was born in Blairsville, Pennsylvania on March 31,
1925 and lived in Latrobe for several years and moved to Houston in 1963. She
was a truly kind, caring and compassionate woman loved by all whose lives she
touched. She will be deeply missed by her four grandsons, Aaron, Todd and Brad
Davis of Kingwood, Texas, and Taylor Adams of Wheaton, Maryland. Betty is also
survived by her sister, Mary Louise Beaty of Rockledge, Florida, sons-in-law,
Steve Davis and Ernie LePire, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be
received from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening, December 8 by the family at the
Waltrip Funeral Home at 1415 Campbell Road. Funeral services will be held at
11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 1993, at the Waltrip Funeral Home Chapel, with
the Rev. Scott Endress, of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
