Joseph F. Meloy, of 219 East Brown Street, Blairsville, died at the Latrobe
Hospital at 12:30 a.m. today. Born in Blairsville on October 29,  1912, he was
the son of the late Thomas M. and Margaret Hammill Meloy and was employed at the
Latrobe Die Casting Company. He was a member of the St. Simon and Jude Catholic
Church, of Blairsville, and belonged to the Derry Eagles. Surviving are his
widow, Erma Lydic Meloy: a daughter, Alice Joyce, at home: a son Thomas, at
home; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Milford Murray, of
Blairsville Mrs. Martha Nichols, of Connellsville; Mrs. Edward Suman, of
Blairsville; Miss Dorothy Meloy, of Blairsville, Frank Meloy, of Watsontown:
John and James Meloy, of Blairsville; Leo Meloy, of Connellsville. Friends will
he received at the Ferguson Funeral Home, Blairsville. Funeral services will be
held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. with a requiem high mass at the SS. Simon and Jude
Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
