Marsh Sr., 74, West Mel- bourne, Fla., formerly of Indiana County, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, at the West Melbourne Health Care Center. A son of George and Laura Alice Hadden Marsh, he was born April 30, 1923, in Smicksburg, West Mahoning Township. He was a member of the American Legion Post 141, Indiana, and a life member of the DAV, Indiana County Chapter 20. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the 179th Regiment, 45th Infantry Divi- sion, in Africa and Italy. He was self-employed as owner and operator of Marsh's Market, Plumville. Surviving are his two sons: Ray D. Marsh Jr., Indiana; Roger Allen Marsh and his wife, Budena, Plum- ville; two stepsons: William Powrie, Medford, N.J., and Stephen Powrie, Bradenton, Fla., three grandchil- dren; four step-grandchildren and one brother, Homer Marsh, Youngs- town, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; by two brothers, Clarence and Irvin Marsh, and by his half- brother, Robert Good. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Bowser- Minich Funeral Home, Plumville, with the Rev. Reid Blystone officiat- ing.
