A son of William B. and Grace Marie Butler Martin, he was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Ramseytown, Jef- ferson County. Mr. Martin was a member of the Dixonville Wesleyan Methodist Church where he was a honorary member of the Missionary Society. He was also a 20-year member of the Carpenter and Heavy Construction Union, Local 2774, Pittsburgh. He was a heavy construction worker arid retired in 1990. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served as a sergeant from 1946 to 1949. Surviving are his wife, Ruth Lu- cille Sink Martin, whom he married July 23, 1949; four daughters: Arla Lewis, Frederick, Md.; Robin Au- miller and her husband, Dexter, Dayton, Ohio; Talona Greene and her husband, Rodney, Indiana; Tra- cey Burns and her husband, Jeffrey, Marion Center; one son, Lonnie, and his wife, Karen, Marion Center; 12 grandchildren; three great-grand- children; two sisters, Vera Mae Armstrong and Mildred Puchi, Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter; three brothers: Andrew, Albert LeRoy and Arnold Richard Martin. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the Bowser- Minich Funeral Home, Plumville, where a funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Rick Cox and the Rev. Reid Blystone officiating. Interment will be in the Marion Center Memorial Cemetery.
