McAdams, 70, of Black Lick, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997, at the Indiana Hospital. The son of Samuel D. and Martha Mae Boring McAdams, he was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Black Lick. Mr. McAdams was a member of the VFW, Alexandria, Va., and the American Legion, Homer City. He formerly was employed as a truck driver for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his son, Lewis Allen Dressler, Utah; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Alice Irene) Garris, Clarks- burg RD 2, and Sue Lynn McAdams, California; three grandchildren; a brother, Samuel McAdams, Black Lick; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Bal dwin, Blairsville RD 1. He was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Jean Haggarty McAdams, on Sept. 24, 1983; his parents; and 14 brothers and sisters. There will be no visitation. Gra- veside services will be held in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, West Wheatfield Township, at the convenience of the family. The Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville, is in charge of arrangements.
