[Cook] McAdoo, 69, of Marion Center RD1, died Saturday, July 28, 1973,in the Indiana Hospital. Born May 27, 1904, in Grant Twp., Indiana County, she was the daughter of John and Mary Viola Cook McAdoo. She was a graduate on Indiana State Teachers College and held a Masters Degree from the University of Pittsburgh and did advanced study at the University of Wisconsin.  She had taught for 43 years, teaching in Grant Twp., Cheswick, Canfield, Ohio, and the Appalachian area of West Virginia. She was the author of "Education Then and Now" published earlier this year by Dorrance Publishing Company of Philadelphia.  She was a member of the NEA, the Pennsylvania Education Associaltion and the Marion Center Methodist Church. Surviving are three brothers: William, Alton, N.Y.; Quay, Hamilton, Ohio; Rupert, Marion Center, RD2, and a sister Mrs. Blair (Elma) Lewis, Indiana, RD2. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert and a sister, Mrs. Florence Brown.  Friends will be recieved from 2-5 and 7-10 Sunday and Monday in the Rairigh Funeral home in Hillsdale, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Arnold S. Kastner will officiate and interment will be in the Best Cemetery, Deckers Point.
