We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr John McAdoo, of town, died at home on North Sixth St, on thurday morning of complication of diseases age 74 years. The deceased, who was a son of Robert and Jane McCoy McAdoo was born and reared at Shelocta. The family resided for some time at Marion Center, where he connected a hotel ,and moved from that place to Indiana 12 years ago. In 1868 he married Miss Mary Fulmer who survives with the following children:William M., Joseph T.and John H. of town Chauncey of near Cockport, and Miss Jettie McAdoo, residing at home. The deceased was a Veteran of the Civil war and during his first enlistment served as a member of Company A, 135th regiment,Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry,and during his second enlistment he was a member Signal Corps. He was a member of the Indiana Post, No28 G.A.R. and a detail of the organization attended the funeral services, which were conducted at his late home on Sunday afternoon by Rev. Swartz Crawford, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery Feb 12, 1914
