M. Helen McCracken

 M. Helen McCracken, 86, Blairs-
ville RD 1, died Monday, Jan. 12,
1998, at her home.
 The daughter of John Barr and
Janet McClelland McCracken, she
was born June 23, 1911, in East
Chicago, Ind.
 She was a member of the Germa-
ny United Methodist Church, New
Florence RD 2, and was a former
member of the First United Method-
ist Church, Blairsville, where she
sang in the choir for many years.
She also was a singer in the Johns-
town Symphony Chorus.
 She was a member of the Business
Girls Club of the YWCA, the Story
League and the Business and Profes-
sional Women's Club, all of Johns-
town.
 Miss McCracken was a retired
employee of the U.S. Steel Company
in Johnstown with 33 years of ser-
vice.
 Surviving are five cousins, Anna
M. Nixon, Blairsville RD 1; Charles
J, and Marion David Cline, Blairs-
ville RD 1; George W. McClelland,
Vandergrift, and Lillian Whitlinger
Smith, Richmond Heights, Ohio, and
many nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her
parents; one brother, Aubrey Fran-
cis McCracken; and one stepsister,
Elinor Manter.
 Friends will be received at the
James F. Ferguson Funeral Home,
Blairsville, Thursday from 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. Services will be held in the
funeral home at 11 a.m.'Friday with
the Rev. Kenneth Keiper officiating.
Interment will be in the Mt. Tabor
Cemetery, Blairsville RD 1.
