Robert McElhoes

 Robert E. McElhoes, 90, of 110
Reston Drive, Indiana, died Satur-
day, Nov. 8, 1997, at Beacon Manor,
Indiana.
 The son of William C. and Edna L.
Gibson McElhoes, he was born June
7, 1907, in Creekside.
 Mr. McElhoes was a member of
the Graystone Presbyterian Church,
Indiana; AARP Evergreen Chapter
2581; and a social member of Indi-
ana VFW Post 1989.
 He was a graduate of Indiana High
School and Indiana Business Col-
lege. He had resided for 18 years in
Pittsburgh where he had worked as
an assistant supervisor of mainte-
nance for Shadyside Hospital until
his retirement in l972.
 He had remained an avid golfer
until the age of85.
 Surviving are his wife, Mildred
McKnight McElhoes; one son, Rob-
ert D. and wife, Marie, St. Peters-
burg, Fla.; two grandsons, David
and wife Alice, Colorado Springs,
Colo., and Thomas and wife, Leslie,
Laceyville; five great-grandchil-
dren and several nieces and neph-
ews.
 He was preceded in death by his
parents; one brother and two sis-
ters: William A., Florence Ramsey
and Irma Moorehead.
 Friends will be received at the
Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indi-
ana, from 7-9 p.m. today and from 11
a.m.-l p.m. Tuesday, at which time
a funeral service will be held. The
Rev. Elizabeth Rogers will officiate.
Interment will be in Oakland Ceme-
tery, Indiana.
