Dr. Samuel Miller Pneumonia caused the death of Dr. Samuel Miller, aged 86 years at the home of his son, Clyde Miller, in Blairsville on March 13. Dr. Miller read medicine with Drs. Goodhart, and Ferguson, of Dayton, PA, an began the practice of medicine at Ringgold, PA. Other places where he practiced his profession were Bolivar, Maysville, Scalp Level, Johnstown, and for a number of years he was located in Ohio. He was survived by the following children: J.W. Miller of Illinois, Clyde Miller of Blairsville, Hiram Miller of Livermore; Mrs. Abbey Beam of Whitney, Nebraska, and Mrs. R.B.Pearce of Saltsburg, also by two brothers Milton G. Miller of Blairsville, and Dr. M.W. Miller of Pittsburgh, and one sister Mrs. Lizzie Miller Reed of Blairsville. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.W. Miller of Pittsburgh, and Rev. H.P. Johnston of Blairsville.
