The daughter of John and Freda Cheaney Shinn, she was born.Dec. 19, 1928, in Sweetwater, Texas. Mrs. Nanz had lived most of her life in the Indiana County area. She was a member of the Homer City United Methodist Church for 48 years and was a member of the Ideal Friendship Class. Mrs. Nanz also did volunteer work for the Homeless Pathway Shelter. Surviving are her husband, George Nanz; four sons: Donald M. Harris III; Cedric H. Tyger, Indi- ana; Kenneth J. Tyger, Albuquer- que, New Mexico; Louis C. Tyger, Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter Sheryl L. Nanz, Black Lick; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Nell Smutzer, Ham- mond, Ind.; seven grandchildren: Regina, Angelo, Heather, Donny, Laken, Victoria, and Evan. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Leon Shinn; two sisters, Mrs. Zona Franklin and Mrs. Margie Hockenberry. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson- Lytle's Funeral Home, Indiana, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. John Inghram officiating. Interment will follow in the Luther Chapel Ceme- tery.
