INDIANA EVENING GAZETTE SEPT. 16, 1921 SQUIRE EZRA NEFF Ezra Neff, a justice of the peace in Reynoldsville for more than 40 years, a veteran of the Civil War and one of the most prominent residents of Reynoldsville, died Tuesday in the DuBois hospital following a brief illness of an obstruction of the bowels. He was 82 years of age. The deceased was born and reared in Indiana county. He was enlisted at the outbreak of the Civil War and served with distinction. He had taken an active interest in G.A.R. affairs and was for many years commander of the Reynoldsville lodge of the B.P.O.E. and of a number of other fraternal organizations. He was a staunch church member, a man whose word was bond and who held the esteem of all who knew him. He was located in Reynoldsville 49 years ago, served as constable for several years and was then elected justice of the peace. He had served continuously in that capacity since that time. He leaves his widow and two grandchildren, his only son having died a number of years ago.
