Owen, a former Heshbon resident, received injuries that resulted in his death about ten minuets after he was admitted to the Cambria Hospital. Both legs were ground off, one at the knee and the other at the ankle, and he was crushed about the chest and abdomen. The young man was a son of Hugh Owen of Heshbon, a track walker on the railroad. He went to Johnstown about a year ago. Besides his father, the young man is survived by several sisters. John T. Owen was a member of the Blacklick Lodge of Odd Fellows. The body was brought to Heshbon on Thursday, July 2, and funeral services were held at the Owen home at 10 o'clock Friday morning. The deceased was born in Indiana county 26 years ago, May 15 last.
