Phoebe Jane Kunkle, wife of Michael Penrod was born Sept. 18, 1834, in Indiana
county Pa., and died March 2d, 1885 in Westmoreland county, Pa. She married
Michael Penrod Aug. 9, 1878, and was kind and affectionate in domestic and
social life, comforting and aiding her now bereaved husband with a faith and
love not born of earth. Sister Penrod was converted and joined the M. E. church
in 1875 under the ministry of Rev. Horne. In her Christian life she was
consistent and faithful...
