We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Reprinted through the courtesy of the Indiana Gazette Sieglinde Parow Sieglinde Maria Parow, 88, of Homer City RD 2, died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, at the Indiana Hospital. Born May 11, 1909, in Thueringen, Germany, she was the daughter of Leo Simon and Maria Badersbach. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Kent; the Christian Mothers; the League of Women Voters and the Cosmopoli- tan Club. She studied medicine at the Uni- versity of Bonn in the 1930s. She immigrated to Burlington, Ontario, Canada, in 1952 and moved to her present address in 1959. Mrs. Parow was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a great inspiration to her family. She was a woman of strong faith and great wit and she pursued many activities to help others, keeping her hands and mind busy. She also had a great love for animals. Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Heinz S. Parow and wife Shirley, Calgary, Alberta; Mrs. Sig- rid Whelan and husband Terry, Burlington, Ontario; Mrs. Ute Perl and husband Albert, Hamilton, On- tario; and Claus P. and wife Ann, Homer City RD 2; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 62 years, Guenter O. Parow who died Oct. 27, 1997. Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Bowser- Minich Funeral Home in Indiana where a Parish Vigil Service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Kent. The Rev. Larry Kulik will be celebrant. Cremation will follow.
