Pitzerell Sr., 63, Tampa, Fla., died Sunday, Dec. 21, 1997, at the home of his daughter in Tampa, Fla. The son of Carl and Vera Kaizer Pitzerell, he was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Ernest. Mr. Pitzerell was a member of the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church in Indiana. He had served in the U.S. Army, Company B 325th Air Squadron. He had been employed aS a boilermaker with Local 154 in Pittsburgh. He was a member of the National Rifle Asso- ciation. Surviving are two daughters: Vicki Gavin and husband Mark, Lititz; Terry Lea Pepin and husband Tom, Tampa, Fla.; two sons: James Pitzerell Jr., Indiana, and Jeff Pitz- erell, Homer City; nine grandchil- dren: Michelle, Matt, Ashley, Kayla, Samantha, Allie, Cassie, Bel- la and Christina; and five brothers and sisters: Phil Pitzerell, Indiana; Zug Pitzerell and wife Betty, Sheloc- ta; Theresa "Toots" Mancini and husband Morris, West Palm Beach, Fla., Jean Patterson and husband Richard, Indiana, and Carol Frail- ey, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Joey, Ron- nie and Richie, and three sisters: Rose Marie, Delores and Caroline. Friends will be received today from 13 p.m. at the Bence-Mihalcik Funeral Home, Indiana. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be private. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Hos- pice Foundation, 3010 W. Azeele St., Tampa, Fla. 33609.
