Indiana County Gazette Wed, Jan 23, 1907
Daniel Barto Roof, aged about 36 years, died from the effects of a stroke on
Friday morning at his home in Wheeling, West Virginia. The deceased was formerly
a resident of this place. He was a cigar maker by trade. He was married to Laura
Deemer, of Homer City, who with four children, survives him. About six years ago
the deceased and his family moved from Indiana to Kittanning and from there to
Wheeling. Funeral services were held in Wheeling on Monday. The remains were
brought to Indiana Monday evening and interred in Oakland cemetery Tuesday.
