MRS. ELIZABETH N. RISING, 80, Indiana RD 3. died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1971, at
Mountain View Nursing Home, Hillsdale.

A daughter of Henry and Polly Yoder Nicewonger, she was born Dec. 10, 1890,
in Penn Run, where she spent the early years of her life.

Mrs. Rising had been a resident of Rayne Twp. for the past 47 years.

She was a former member of the Harmony United Presbyterian Church of Penn
Run.

Surviving are the following children: Harry, Walton, N.Y.; Gifford, Clymer;
Mrs. Archie (Mary) Stiffler, Starford; Mrs. Clara M. Smith, Cornwells
Heights; Mrs. William (Pauline) Huseonica, Homer City RD 2; Mrs. Walter
(Betty) Taylor, Clymer RD 1; Mrs. Michael (Agnes) McQuiston, Indiana RD 1;
Mrs. Wilmer (Louise) Bence, Baltimore, MD; a brother, Art Nicewonger,
Clymer; a sister, Mrs. Sherd (Amanda) Burnheimer, Homer City; 29
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Rising  in 1957, and a
son, James E. in 1966.
