Ruda, 73, Blairsville, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 1997, at the Latrobe Hospital. Born in Lloydsville on Aug. 3, 1924, he was the son of Frank and Mary Uher Ruda. He was a member of SS. Simon & Jude Church of Blairsville. Mr. Ruda was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Carpenters Union Local 263, and Jenota Slova~i- an Society. He was; a retired construction carpenter. Surviving are his wife, Ida E. Calabrese Ruda, Blairsville; one son, Albert A. (Skip) Ruda Jr., Indiana;:six sisters, Mary Mackay, West Mimin; Margaret Gones, Ari- zona; kgnes O'Toole, Pittsburgh; Anna Lancy, Pittsburgh; Betty Ree- ger, Baltimore; and Clara Johnston, California; and three brothers, Rank Ruda, Florida; Anthony Ru- da, Florida and Edward Ruda, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Stephen and Joseph Ruda, and one sister, Jose- phine Selock. Friends will be received at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home in Blairsville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where a wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. VFW Post 5821 will conduct a military service at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Friday. Funeral senilces will be held at the SS Simon & Jude Church at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Father Chester J. Raimer as celebrant. Interment will be in the SS. Simon & Jude Cemeteiy.
