He was a member of the Glen Campbell Lions Club; Glen Campbell Volunteer Fire Co., and UMWA. Survivors include his widow, Effie STIRRAT RYDBOM; and the following brothers: Rudolph and Sigfred, both of Coalport; Richard, Columbus, Ohio. *Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Friends are being received at the Pyott Funeral Home, Burnside, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Luther Frazier, officiating. RYDBOM, of Glen Campbell, passed away June 19, 1958 in Miners Hospital, Spangler, after a short illness. He was born June 26, 1891, in Glen Campbell, son of Andrew and Emma Johannson Rydbom. He is survivied by his wife Janet DRUMHELLER RYDBOM of Latimer Mines and four daughters: Dorothy, June, Jean and Elma, all at home; four brothers Victor of Glen Campbell; Rudolph, Coalport; Sigfred of Coalport; Richard, Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Rydbom was a WW I Veteran. Friends are being received at the McCardell Funeral Home, Burnside where services will be held Sunday, June 22, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. George Moreth of Glen Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Burnside. NOTE: He was preceded in death by a brother Charles and a sister Anna THOMAS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ EFFIE RYDBOM, 83, Glen Campbell, died Wednesday Jan 4, 1978, in the Glen Wood Nursing Home, Glen Campbell. A daughter of John and Euphamie THOMPSON STIRRAT, she was born March 21, 1894, IN HUDSON, Clearfield County. Mrs. Rydbom was a member of the United Methodist Church, Glen Campbell. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Clell (Margaret) STIFFLER, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor RYDBOM, in 1965; two brothers, Alec STIRRAT and John STIRRAT; one sister Mrs. Mary WEATHERSON. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to p p.m. Friday in the Rairgh Funeral Home, Hillsdale, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, with the Rev. Howard Hess officiating. Interment will follow in Burnside Cemetery, Burnside. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COALPORT - Sigfred E. Rydbom, 76, of Coalport, died in his home March 2, 1972 at 5:43 p.m. He was born in Glen Campbell Sept. 3, 1985, a son of Andrew and Emma JOHANNSON RYDBOM. Mr. Rydbom was married to the former Elnora RHOADES who survives along with these children: Eugene, Robert, Darrell, Carl, Mrs. Louise PETERMAN, Mrs. Gertrude TROXELL, Mrs. Anna RENNINGER, Kenneth and Charles, all of Coalport; Theodore, Carlisle; Gerald, New Jersey; and Mrs. Eileen Beers, Berwick. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two brothers: Rudolph, Coalport; and Richard, Kent, Ohio. Mr. Rydbom was preceded in death by a son Richard, who was killed in action June 1, 1945 on Okinawa while serving with the U.S. Marines, and by infant twins. He was a veteran of World War I and was affliated with Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Coalport. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Wendell W. Lloyd Funeral Home, Irvona with the Rev. E. H. Mink officiating. Interment will follow in the Burnside Cemetery Friends will be received at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today until the hour of service. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coalport - Rudolph C. Rydbom , 77 a retired Coalport coal miner, died at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Hillview Nursing Home, Altoona. He was born in Glen Campbell, Sept. 23, 1897, a son of Andrew and Emma (Johannson) Rydbom. His wife, the former Irene BUTTERBAUGH whom he married June 10, 1925, survives as do two sons; Gerald, Hillsdale; Kenneth, Irvona; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The last member of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Wendel W. Lloyd Funeral Home, Irvona. The Rev. Richard Jenks will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, LaJose R.D. Friends may call in the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and until the services tomorrow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the building fund of the Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Coalport - Services for Mrs. Irene Rydbom, 83, of Coalport, who died at her home Monday, May 31, at 10 p.m. will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Lloyd Funeral Home, Irvona. The Rev. Jack Waite will officiate, with assistance by the Rev. William Mullins. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, LaJose. Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. until time of service. She was born in Hillsdale Oct. 27, 1898, a daughter of Franklin and Sadie (DONAHUE) BUTERBAUGH. She married Rudolph RYDBOM, who preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1974. She was the last member of her immediate family. She is survived by two sons, Gerald Rydbom of Hillsdale and Kenneth Rydbom of Irvona, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
