Latrobe Bulletin Mon, Jun 06, 1977
Stanley Shubuck, 68, of Blairsville R.D.3, (Brenizer), died Sunday in Latrobe
Area Hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1909, in Van Voorhis, Pa., son of the late
Mike and Tedoza Shubuck. A retired miner, he was a member of SS. Simon and Jude
Roman Catholic Church in Blairsville and the United Mine Workers Association
Local 1619. He is survived by his widow, Veronica Mikita Shubuck; four children,
Mrs. John (Mary Ann) Kovalik of Latrobe, Stephen of Indiana, Pa., Mrs. Bernard
(Louise) Hudak of Weirton, W. Va., and Mrs. Joseph (Dolores) Mazak of
Greensburg; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Mike of Brenizer, and one sister,
Mrs. Michael (Mary) Zedick of Brenizer. Family will receive friends in Hallow
Funeral Home, Blairsville, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday. A wake service will be held at 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Funeral Home. Mass
of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in SS. Simon and
Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville, with the Rev. Louis Cheatham as
celebrant. Interment will follow in SS. Simon and Jude Cemetery. Family requests
memorial contributions be made to one's favorite charity.
