Raymond Gould Silvis, 81, of 376-1/2 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, died Wednesday,
Sept. 18, 1985, in Indiana Hospital. Born June 6, 1904, at Cook Forest, Pa., he
was a son of the late Peter and Mae Payne Silvis. He was an active volunteer
with the Senior Citizens of Blairsville. Surviving are his wife, Gladys Brownley
Silvis; one son, Ronald R. of Blairsville; one daughter, Mrs. John (Rita)
Walther of Blairsville RD 4; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and
three brothers, Neil of Corryville, Archie of Tionesta, Pa., and Howard of
Marienville, Pa. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in
Richard L. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville, where a service will be held at
9 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. E. Earl Anderson officiating. Interment will
follow in Blairsville Cemetery.
