Smith, Indiana, died Wednesday, March 28, 1973, in the Indiana Hospital. A daughter of George Washington and Mary Jane Fahringer Overdorff, she was born March 7, 1889, in Brushvalley Twp., Indiana county. Mrs. Smith lived her entire life in the Indiana area and was a member of the Assembly of Yahweh. Surviving are four sons: Lawrence L. Chardon, Ohio; L. V. Smith and William F. Smith, both of Indiana; Charles L. Smith, Elyria, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Nicholas (Matilda) Black, Jacksonville, NC; a sister, Mrs. Rose Bunker, Jackson, Michigan; a half-brother, Paul Overdorff, Indiana; a half-sister, Mrs. Goldie Little, Bradford; 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E, Smith in 1948. Friends are being received at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held Saturday, the Rev. Robert Wessel officiating.
