He was born i 1938 in Indiana County to Michael Andrew Saliga S. and Julia Pavelchick. Michael was a past member of the Chapter 16 of Country Music and had his own bands called "Country Tys," "Country Entertainers" and "Million Dollar Friends" the band that played at various nursing homes and personal care homes. He was an avid bowler and belonged to various bowling leagues. He was also a little league coach in the Blairsville area. He was employed for 41 years by CSX Railroad and the BP Railroad until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed traveling, music and camping, especially since his retirement. Michael is survived by his wife Patricia (Wilson) Saliga, of Indiana; four step-sons and three step-daughters; Tom Ringler and wife Jane, Indiana; Roger Ringler and wife Beth, Indiana; Catherine Haggerty and husband John, Florida; Richard Ringler and wife Cynthia, Fayetteville, Nc.; Robert Ringler and companion Tracy, Graceton; Wendy Sexton and husband Eugene, Williamsfield, Ohio; Tricia Yankuskie and husband Tony, Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Saliga and wife Pat, George Saliga and wife Sandy; three half brothers and two half sisters: John Pavelchick and wife Thelma, Steve Pavelchick and wife Norma, Frank Pavelchick and wife Mary, Martha Hill and husband Ed, and Ann Pazskow; numerous nieces and nephews; two biological sons, Robert and Jerry Saliga. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Kimberly Ringler; two grandchildren; two half sisters, Andrew and Tom Pavelchick, Mary Edwards and Victoria McCurdy.
