Sinclair, 72, of Stifflertown, Cherry Tree R.D.1, a native of Houtzdale, died yesterday, April 15 in Miners Hospital, Spangler. He was born in Houtzdale Aug. 31, 1903, a son of William and Elizabeth Taylor Sinclair. He was a member of the Stifflertown Evangelical Church and a former employee of Clearfield County Division, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He was also a retired miner and a member of UMWA local in Greenwich. He is survived by his wife, the former Pearl Alexander, and these children: Richard, Triangle, Va.; Mrs. Harold Mary Ann Russell of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Philip Iola Yanello of Cherry Tree and Philips (sic) of Rockford, Mich. Twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild survive. The following brother and sisters survive: Mrs. Harry Margaret Packer of Coalport; Mrs. Charles Dorothy Anderson, Brisbin; Mrs. Thomas Jean Love of Houtzdale; Ralph of Coalport; Melvin of Brisbin; William, Robert and Jack, all of Houtzdale and Chester of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held from the Melvin C. Gwin Funeral Home, Cherry Tree, Sunday, April 18 at 4 p.m. The Rev. Leland Boring will officiate and internment will be in Citizens Cemetery, Cherry Tree. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Additional Comments: Will and John are George's great grandson and grandson, respectively. George was never a member of the Stifflertown Evangelical Church, though his wife was, so this is mistake by the newspaper.
