Smith, 84, Indiana RD 1, for years the publisher of the Indiana Messenger, died in his late home yesterday morning, March 29 at 10:25 a.m. Mr. Smith has been a life-time resident of Indiana and served as a justice of the peace here for a number of years. He was born March 15 1865, in Indiana, Pa., son of Samuel A. and Sarah (Kinter) Smith. Surviving are his wife, Zoe Fetterman Smith; daughter Mrs. Walter (Helen) Kissinger, Jr. and grandaughter Betty Clare Kissinger. Friends will be received at Robinson's Funeral Home, Indiana, after 7: p.m. tonight and until 12:30 a.m. Thursday until 4:30 pm. Funeral Services Friday, April 1, 1949 at 1:30 p.. Interment in the Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Thurman McCracken will officiate.
