INDIANA EVENING GAZETTE FEBRUARY 17, 1972 MARY ELIZABETH KELLY PALMER SMITH, 63, of New Florence, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Celia Cribbs Rest Home, Black Lick, after a lengthy illness. She was formerly of Black Lick. She was born Nov. 24, 1908, in Pine Flats, Indiana County, the daughter of the late Carmi and Anna Stonebraker Kelly. She was formerly employed at Torrance State Hospital. Surviving is her husband, Paul A.Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Palmer, in 1952. Also surviving are a son, Wilbert Palmer of Clarksville, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Betty) McConnaughry of Mantua, Ohio; and seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Richard K. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville, where services will be held on Friday at 1:30 pm with the Rev. Palmer E. Washburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Blairsville Cemetery.
