Stadtmiller, 74, 5969 Alastair Drive, formerly of Oneida, died Monday evening, Oct. 4, 1999, at his residence, following a lengthy illness. He was born on Sept. 9, 1925, in Indiana, Pa., he was raised by his mother and step-father, Agnes Ella and Edson Doty. Mr. Stadtmiller was educated in Indiana, Pa., schools. His first wife, the former Frances Borrelli, whom he married on Aug. 7. 1948, in East Palestine, Ohio, died on July 22, 1979. He later married the former Bernice Walker on June 7, 1980, in Oneida. Prior to his retirement in August of 1987, with 34 years of service, Mr. Stadtmiller was the Central New York supervisor with the Buckeye Pipeline Company. Following his retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Stadtmiller relocated to Indiana, returning to Central New York in August. While residing in Oneida, he was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and was a 54-year member of the American Legion, Indiana Post and the Loyel Order of Moose, Indiana Lodge. A veteran of World War II, Mr Stadtmiller served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre. Surviving are his wife, Bernice; three sons and daughters-in-laws, Joseph and Francine Stadtmiller of Sherrill, Robert M. and Joyce Stadtmiller of Walworth, David and Linda Stadtmiller of Jacksonville, Fla., one daughter and son-in-law, Constance and Paul Kucerak of Illion; one step-son, Gregory Jones of Spartansburg, S.C.; three step-daughters, Cheryl and her husband, Christopher Collins of Verona, Valarie and her husband, Michael Burns of Talkeetna, Alaska and Allison Jones of San Francisco; 14 grandchildren, Jessica, Joseph, Jonathan, Daniel, Kristen, Cassandra, Christina and Sarah Stadtmiller, Theresa Kabot, Paul and Matthew Kucerak, Christopher and Kimberly Roberts and Jason Collins; and two great-grandchildren.
