STIFFLER, 65, CHERRY TREE, DIES Jay Gould Stiffler, 65, of Cherry Tree died yesterday afternoon at his home. He was born in Green Township February 18, 1876, a son of William and Margaret (Douglass) Stiffler. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary (Burgan) Stiffler, and five children - Mrs. Esther Helman and Mrs. Alice Sheehan, both of Altoona; Mrs. Dorothy McPherson and David Stiffler, both of Johnstown, and Ruth Stiffler, at home. Mr. Stiffler was a brother of James Stiffler, Bolivar; Lemuel Stiffler, Cherry Tree, and Mrs. May McNulty, Cherry Tree R.D. 2. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Stiffler home. Interment in Cherry Tree I.O.O.F. Cemetery will be directed by the Rairigh Funeral Home of Hillsdale. Helman and Mrs. Charles Sheehan of Altoona, Mrs. Blair McPherson of Johnstown; a sister, Mrs. Frank McNulty of Kinport, and two brothers, Lemuel of Cherry Tree and James of Bolivar.
