Thompson died at Dixmont hospital Monday morning, in his 66th year. "Van" as he was familiarly known here, suffered a stroke of paralysis some six years ago, and from that time until his his death was in many respects helpless. About a year ago his mind became affected, and it was deemed that should be taken to Dixmont for skilled treatment, although it was recognized by his friends that there was little, if any, hope of recovery. He is survived by his wife and one sister, Mrs G. W.Bodenhamer of North Sixth street. The remains were brought here Monday evening. The funeral will take place this afternoon and internment made in Oakland cemetery. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 1.2 Kb
